Our year-round line-up of beers offers a diverse variety of both modern and classic styles in cask, keg and can, covering a range of ABV’s from super sessionable up to big and bold. Our entire core range is vegan friendly, as are 99% of our limited release beers, with a number also being gluten free.
Flagship beers such as Yankee (original pale ale) and Baby-Faced Assassin (American IPA) are supported by the likes of, among others, Scoundrel (classic stout), Hazy-Faced Assassin (gluten free hazy IPA), Good As Hell (gluten free premium helles lager) and Yorkshire’s Best (gluten free modern classic bitter) to provide a well-balanced permanent offering.

Modern.
Baby-Faced Assassin is our flagship IPA and also the beer for which we’ve won the most awards since being added to our core range in late 2013. That’s not where the story begins, however, as the beer was first conceived as a 25 litre batch of homebrew in January 2011. Originally brewed by Tom, our Operations Director, the recipe was passed into the hands of his brother and Rooster’s Head Brewer, Oliver. The success of the beer has spawned several off-shoots, with five (including the O.G.) now forming the modern end of our core range.
Baby-Faced Assassin [alc. 6.1% vol.]
American IPA [Cask, Keg & Can]
Brewed with 100% Citra hops that create aromas of mango, apricot, grapefruit & mandarin orange, along with a lasting, juicy, tropical fruit bitterness, Baby-Faced Assassin is a deceptively drinkable India Pale Ale that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Hazy-Faced Assassin [alc. 5.7% vol.]
Hazy IPA Keg & Can]
A soft and juicy, hazy IPA brewed with a blend of Citra and Galaxy hops to create a punch bowl of tropical fruit flavours, with mango and peach standing out, leading to a mouth-watering finish.
Easy-Going Assassin [alc. 4.3% vol.]
Session IPA [Cask, Keg & Can]
A scaled down, gluten free version of our flagship IPA. Brewed with 100% Citra hops, Easy-Going Assassin is an easy-drinking, yet punchy session IPA with notes of mandarin orange, mango, apricot and a juicy grapefruit bitterness.
Mango Hazy Assassin [al.c 5.7% vol.]
Hazy Mango IPA [Keg & Can]
A juiced-up, version of our crushable hazy IPA that's not to be taken lightly! Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops combine to create tropical fruit flavours, enhanced by the addition of natural mango and the kiss of sweetness that comes with it.
Little Hazy Assassin [alc. 4.1% vol.]
Hazy Session Pale [Keg & Can]
A laid back, juicy and crushable hazy session pale that delivers a hefty punch of tropical fruit flavours harnessed from a blend of Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops.

Pale ales, best bitter and stout - we’ve got you covered with our classic core range of cask beers (best served through a sparkler). There are a couple of modern styles in the shape of Easy-Going Assassin (4.3% session IPA) and Baby-Faced Assassin (6.1% American IPA), both also available year-round in cask.
Yankee [alc. 4.3% vol.]
Original Pale Ale [Cask & Can]
One of the original, new-style, pale ales to be brewed in the UK, Yankee® is a modern classic. Light and easy-drinking, it’s a beer that showcases the floral and citrus fruit aromas of the Cascade hop projected against a backdrop of soft Yorkshire water and Golden Promise pale malt.
YPA [alc. 4.1% vol.]
Yorkshire Pale Ale [Cask only]
Super soft, smooth and elegant, YPA (Yorkshire Pale Ale) is a pale, aromatic, summer ale that offers up beautifully balanced and delicate peachy and berry fruit flavours.
Yorkshire's Best [alc. 3.8% vol.]
Gluten Free Best Bitter [Cask & Can]
A modern, classic best bitter. Amber in colour and smooth on the finish, Yorkshire’s Best is brewed with a blend of British hops; Challenger, First Gold and Ernest, to provide fruity, new world characteristics that balance out a moreish level of bitterness.
Scoundrel [al.c 4.2% vol.]
Yorkshire Stout [Cask, Nitro Keg & Can]
A smooth, medium-bodied stout brewed in the classic style. A blend of brown malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley combine with traditional English Admiral hops to create roasted malt and chocolate flavours, leading to a balanced hop bitterness.
Buckeye [alc. 3.4% vol.]
Pale Session Ale [Cask only]
Named after a rare breed of chicken that originates from the state of Ohio in the USA, Buckeye is an easy-drinking, well-hopped pale ale, brewed with a blend of American and New Zealand hops, producing an orange, citrus fruit aroma and a refreshing level of bitterness.
Lager! Lager! Lager!
Best known for our historic, pioneering approach to brewing pale ales and IPA’s, we also love a good lager and have two permanently available in our range. Both are deliciously crisp, easy-drinking and refreshing. Super approachable, they’re both also gluten free and vegan friendly.
Haus Lager [alc. 4.2% vol.]
Session Lager [Keg & Can]
Rooster’s house drinking lager. Approachable, fresh, crisp and clean, it’s light and refreshing. A carefully measured balance of malt and hops makes for an easy-drinking experience.
Good As Hell [alc. 4.9% vol.]
Helles [Keg & Can]
A crisp, golden lager balancing malt sweetness with a light bitterness and floral notes from a combination of Liberty & Tettnang hops. Helles is a masterclass in restraint, subtly and drinkability, which makes it an enduring style and reminds beer lovers that the simple things in life are usually the most rewarding and worth pursuing.
