our values
We love the vibe our Taproom team have established and want every customer to enjoy their visit with us. We're also grateful to the overwhelming majority of customers who help to create a positive and respectful atmosphere, but, from to time, we do, unfortunately, have to remind some people of what's acceptable behaviour and what's not.
So, with the above in mind, here are three simple rules we expect everyone to get on board with when visiting the Taproom:
1. Treat the people around you with respect and decency - this applies to staff and other customers alike.
2. Don't be a dick!
3. Discriminatory, racist, sexist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, ageist or otherwise hateful speech or actions will not be tolerated.
FAQs
Do you accept cash?
Yes, we accept cash and card payments at the bar. Please note, the kitchen vendors are a separate business with the majority accepting take card only.
Is the Taproom accessible?
The Taproom is entirely a ground floor venue, with an accessible toilet and baby-changing as you enter the lobby, however, The Sample Room (additional event space) is only accessible via a staircase. Gents & Ladies restrooms are both on the ground floor at the back of the Taproom.
Are children allowed?
Well-behaved under-10s are welcome until 7pm. In view of safety and with respect to other customers, please ensure your children remain seated with you while with us.
Can I bring my dog?
We adore dogs here at Rooster’s, but ask that they are kept on leads and close to your table. Free treats and water bowls are available at the bar. We also offer a full dog menu of larger snacks and treats from the Canine Menu & Sir Woofchester’s 😊
Where do I find allergen information and dietary requirements?
The bar team and each rotating kitchen vendor will be able to help with your dietary requirements and answer any questions you have regarding allergy concerns. We brew a delicious range of gluten free beers as part of our core range line-up that rotate on both cask and keg, with cans also stocked in the fridge.
Do you have no and low options?
While we don’t currently brew our own, we have a selection of bottled no and low alcohol beers, radlers and ciders in the fridge. We also have a full range of soft drinks available. Ask the bar team for their recommendations!
Do you serve food?
Our street food kitchen is open in line with the Taproom being open, although service times differ. Traders rotate every weekend, meaning we always have something different to offer.
Can I buy beer to take away?
Of course! Our ‘Take-Outs and Train Beers’ fridge is well stocked with Rooster’s cans and Daleside bottles.
Can I hire the Taproom for a private event?
Yes! The Sample Room is a private event space for up to 150 people situated upstairs, above the main Taproom. Clickhereto find out more.
A larger group of us are planning to visit, do we need to book?
Due to the large size of the room, we can easily cater for groups without a booking, however we are happy to take reservations for groups of 8 - 30 people. If you have any questions or would like to book, please email events@roosters.co.uk .
Do you have a beer garden?
We do! Our south-facing beer garden is at the back of the Taproom, with plenty of picnic benches, as well as a purpose-built stage for sunny afternoons of live music - keep an eye out on socials for upcoming Trackside Sessions!
I don’t like beer, is there anything else I can have?
The Taproom is more than just a showcase for excellent beer. We offer a full and carefully selected assortment of local independent gins, superb wines from Harrogate’s Ake & Humphris, as well as ciders, spirits and soft drinks.
Where can I park?
There are plenty of free parking spaces outside the Taproom and close by on Hornbeam Park, shared with neighbouring businesses, with no restrictions in place.
