The Sample Room is a versatile space capable of playing host to a wide variety of events. With its industrial 'blank canvas' aesthetic, the room provides the perfect backdrop to be customised and dressed as you wish. Guests can also enjoy a tailored private bar for an additional cost, offering a range of Rooster’s beers in cask, keg, and can, along with a selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks. Our dedicated Events Manager, Howie, is on hand to help as much or as little as you need, to ensure your event runs smoothly.
CORPORATE DAYS
The Sample Room has previously hosted everything from TED-style talks, panel discussions, tasting events, charity quizzes to workshops! Whatever your area of expertise, if you’re looking for a venue with a difference for your next corporate event or training day, we’ve got you covered. Just a 10-minute walk from Hornbeam Park Station, the sample room offers a relaxed yet functional space, available from 8am onwards, Tuesday to Thursday. We can provide a range of catering options, including hot drinks and a buffet lunch (hot or cold) for an additional fee. The downstairs bar is also available to guests during Taproom hours, making it easy to transition from work to a more social setting. A PA system, projector, screen, and a 65” TV with HDMI and laptop connectivity are also available.
LIVE MUSIC
Music plays a crucial role in creating the perfect atmosphere for your event, and we’ve got you covered with our in-house PA system. Simply bring a playlist of your favourite songs on a smart phone or tablet and you’re ready to go. Alternatively, if you're looking for something more, The Sample Room’s retro 'working men’s club' built in stage is ideal for adding a touch of showbiz to your celebration! complete with sparkling curtains and dynamic stage lighting, it’s a great backdrop for a band or DJ, depending on your preference.
My 40th birthday was hosted upstairs at Rooster's Taproom and was perfect for lots of guests! Customisable and convenient with a full bar and street food available downstairs, it fit the needs of my party to a tee!

The Sample Room is a brilliant versatile space. I've used it on several occasions for a wide range of events such as gigs, panel discussions, ted-style talks, meet-the-author evenings and food and beer pairings. The room is well equipped and works well whether you have enough
people to fill it or a smaller groups, the team at rooster's go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need and are well looked after. The best bit is you can carry on your socialising or networking over a tasty beer in the downstairs taproom afterwards!
We recently hosted a party in The Sample Room and it was a fantastic experience. The space was perfect for our gathering, including the upstairs bar, and the staff were
incredibly accommodating. The selection of craft beer (and other drinks) went down really well too. We would definitely recommend the venue for your next big occasion!

PRIVATE BAR
In addition to the Taproom bar, there’s the option to open the bar in the Sample Room, with a choice of three beers on draught, an optional cask line, a well stocked fridge for wines and soft drinks, and spirits from local independent suppliers.
STREET FOOD
We can assist you in organising your food from our street food kitchen. Vendors will vary each week, get in touch for more information.
WELCOME DRINKS
Want to give your guests the perfect start to your event? We offer a variety of different welcome drinks packages, including glasses of prosecco or Rooster's beer. Prices start from £4.50 per person.

Is there a minimum spend?
No!
Is there a fee?
Our pricing ranges depending on the size of the event you are wanting and any extras that may occur (private bar staffing, catering, etc!) However, we are always happy to discuss an overall budget that works for you. To secure your date, we ask for a £100 deposit, this is non-refundable but we can transfer your deposit to a different date if necessary.
Where is the Sample Room?
The Sample Room is just upstairs from the main Taproom area. Unfortunately due to the nature of the building, this is only accessible via stairs. We are more than happy to arrange reserved seating in the main Taproom area if this does not work for your event. Please note, we can only reserve space for 12 - 30 people. There is no charge and you will be in the main body of the Taproom with other people.
Are children allowed in the Sample Room?
As with the Taproom, well behaved children under 10 years of age are welcome until 7pm. However, we are happy accommodate parties and events at which children will be present at other times by offering flexible start and finish times within our regular Taproom hours, including afternoon bookings.
Can we bring dogs?
Well behaved dogs kept on leads are welcome throughout the Taproom, Sample Room* and Beer Garden.
*Excludes ticketed events hosted by the Taproom, such as tastings, comedy or live music.
What food options are there?
Feel free to organise your own food for your event, whether thats your own hot or cold spread, or a takeaway delivered to the Taproom. (Please note: any food must be prepped off site and delivered ready to serve/eat). If you would rather we sorted this for you, with enough notice we can assist you in arranging catering with whoever is in the kitchen that week.
What about music?
The Sample Room comes complete with in-house PA and lighting facilities, which can be used to simply plug in your own device with a compatible headphone jack connection to play your favourite playlist. Alternatively, if you're looking for something more, The Sample Room’s purpose-built stage provides a great backdrop for a band or DJ, depending on your preference. To help, contact details can be provided for a couple of DJ’s / musicians we work with on a regular basis.
How do I arrange a viewing?
Drop Howie, our Events Manager an email at events@roosters.co.uk to arrange a time to suit you for a chat and to see if we're the right fit for your event.
How early can I arrive to decorate the space?
Where possible, we allow as much time in advance as possible on the day for you to bring as many decorations as you'd like to dress the room with! Please discuss this with Howie when planning your booking, however, as availability will depend on other events that may be occurring beforehand.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. One of the many benefits of being on the business park means there is ample free parking close to the Taproom.
